1. Information we collect
Account information
When you create or use an account, we process identifiers such as your email address, name when supplied by your sign-in provider, ReturnOn.Me user ID, and authentication tokens. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, that provider sends us the account information and credentials needed to authenticate you.
Content you choose to save or create
We process the links, URLs, notes, search and Ask questions, Ask answers, photos, videos, audio, PDFs, files, and other content you submit. We also store generated summaries, classifications, embeddings, source relationships, Drop drafts, delivery settings, subscriber details you provide, and your feedback on generated results.
Usage and diagnostics
The iOS app collects limited app-interaction, device, and diagnostic information through Firebase Analytics Core so we can understand product reliability and aggregate feature use. We do not send saved content, Ask text, source URLs, email addresses, or ReturnOn.Me user IDs as analytics event parameters. The website loads Google Analytics only after you choose “Allow analytics.”
Communications
If you contact us or join the beta by email, we process your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- authenticate you and keep your account and content separated from other users;
- capture, store, extract, enrich, search, connect, and display your saved Signals;
- answer questions using your content and generate reviewable Drop drafts;
- send proofs or final Drops only when you request those actions;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the app and website;
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
- prevent misuse and comply with applicable law.
3. Service providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as needed to operate ReturnOn.Me, carry out an action you request, protect the service, or comply with law. Our current service providers include:
- Supabase for authentication, databases, file storage, and server-side functions.
- n8n for server-side enrichment workflow orchestration.
- OpenAI for server-side enrichment, grounded answers, embeddings, and draft generation.
- Firecrawl for extracting content from URLs you save.
- Google Firebase and Google Analytics for the limited analytics described above.
- Resend for subscriber synchronization and email delivery you initiate or schedule.
- beehiiv if you choose the assisted draft-export feature.
- Render for hosting the ReturnOn.Me website.
- Apple and Google when you use their sign-in services.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information in response to a valid legal process, to protect users or the service, or as part of a corporate transaction where appropriate safeguards apply.
4. Selling, advertising, and tracking
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your saved content for targeted advertising, and we do not share it with data brokers. ReturnOn.Me does not use Apple’s advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising or measurement.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain account information and user content while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual saved Signals and Ask questions in the app. You can permanently delete your account from Settings > Account > Delete Account. Account deletion removes your active ReturnOn.Me account and associated saved content, media, Ask history, Returns, Drop drafts, subscribers, and schedules.
Limited records may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, or a service provider’s retention systems, and may be retained when required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. Backup copies are isolated from normal product use and expire according to the relevant backup or provider retention process.
If automatic Sign in with Apple revocation is unavailable when you delete your account, the app directs you to Apple’s account controls so you can remove ReturnOn.Me access.
6. Security
We use authenticated access, tenant-isolation controls, private storage, encrypted network transport, and server-side credential boundaries designed to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
ReturnOn.Me is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
You can review and delete content in the app, decline optional website analytics, sign out, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. Contact us to exercise a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. International processing
ReturnOn.Me and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice when required by law.
